The end of the year usually comes with vast number of reviews. There are quite a few top issues to note: most are worth discuss in great lengths, but well, who has the time or the worth of the patience to read the blog entries after entries. Not in any particular order:
Windows Vista so passé vs iPhone a hit.
One laptop per child.
Al Gore the environmentalist got worldwide recognition and lots of prizes: Oscars and Nobel Peace.
The Princes: William and Harry did good for their mother to honour her by organizing a concert and bring people closer to her or rather, an institution of the royals.
Dali Lama brought lots of grief to various world leaders and even to the Pope, the Pope was supposedly to meet him this past week, Dec. China really has a big grievance towards this issue.
Brittany-ranna to Paris-rama to Rosie-rama in the entertainment arenas.
Yawns, Canada drama-rama ranging from environment to Conrad Black and Arctic warming oh, and forget to mention, leaving out the Aboriginal rights at the UN. How about the dollar signs? Canadian money worth a lot of bad for exporters, but good for people who travels for relaxation.
US housing cries are making trickling effects on world markets, finances, China, and a whole can of worms.
China fixes its own toy industries after cries of toy recalls. Must be the 2008 Olympics.
Multi--cultural ism, melting pot and war of terror- does it work, problems, issues? More questions then answers by world media outlets.
The box office was so busy and crowded that it did not do justice to quite a few movies like Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, P.S. I Love You, Charlie Wilson's War, and even the last week's hit: I Am Legend. We would be too busy shopping for our last minute gifts and foods to even bother to head to the theatres. Isn't Christmas the most stressful time of the year too? This week, there will be an extended week of movies coming out of the theaters. It will make a longer week out of the box office, eh!
Worth noting for release this week movies: Dec 25-30
# The Bucket List
# The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
# Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem
# Persepolis
# The Great Debaters
# There Will Be Blood
Box office receipts for: December 21-23, 2007
Pictures and videos of this past week's movies:

On Dec. 6, 1989 an enraged gunman roamed the corridors of Montreal's École Polytechnique

Almost immediately, the Montreal Massacre became a galvanizing moment in which mourning turned into outrage about all violence against women.
Its the time of the year again to bring awareness to
December 1, AIDS Day. Its not just happening to people in Africa, its happening
to our neighbourhoods and to our world. There are more correlation to awareness
and that will bring power to more people to break down the barriers to the
stigmas of AIDS. Its one of the many that we will need to work to break down
the myths and more health/social issues that associated with AIDS.
There are various campagins all over the world, so surf online for more information. Knowledge is power.
CBS showed briefly on the un-glamourous side of the celebrity chef.
Think you want to be a chef? CBS' Rita Braver spoke to some industry insiders about what it takes to make it in the kitchen.

A phenomenon of chefs on TV in a 24 hour network creates more interest for cooking schools. Its not
crack up to be when people head to these institutions. I must be nuts to tell you this right? I am not. I
asked a few cooks and cooks to be that it may be glamourous to head to the culinary school to learn all
the trades of the tricks and all those French vocabulary. At the end, the job that you do are long, tedious,
hard and it can be rewarding if you are bound to get discovered. Or perhaps get ambitious with
creativeness and some money or some connection with Oprah or Ellen or YouTube can help. Who
knows?
There are some people who end up without the cook certificates and end up being famous, can you name
a few on top of your head? Martha Stewart as an example. I would also say if you have a willing chef to
take you on training you like Wolfgang Puck, that will be wonderful on the site work training you can ever
get in real life. Being a cook, from my experience, are very rewarding, but hard work. I am not here to
tell you the bad side of the cookery politics, because I think its for an apprentice to get its feet wet and
error to know where you really belong to the kitchen team.
If you had a trillion dollars
Its a shame and it does not even stretch far nowadays. why do I say such way? due to inflations
and price rises, you actually get to purchase less and less and you need more and more money to
get what you need. in the case of the blanket africa with mosquito, the actual amount of nets you
can provide with a trillion dollars would not be a trillion nets for Africa. It would not be even a
billion nets. could you guess even how many nets in africa they would get when these nets cost
10 dollars each? I will let you know at the end of this entry. Once again here, we like to provide
hope, but a trillion dollar now does not have unlimited buying power as it used to be. Lets put
all this in perspective. The money runs out in the time of war quicker then in the peacetime.
Also in the times of economic uncertainty, trillion of dollars seem to go quicker due to more
needs from job uncertainty. As of heading to school, its still far out of reach for the third world
countries with the increasing population each day. I wish I could say a trillion dollar would be
enough to put kids to school everywhere around the world. As for hiring for doctors, 6.9 million
of doctors can be hired if there is a trillion dollar to the medical budget. The trillion dollar
nowadays does not go far with the increasingly economic stress that we inherit.
Q: What can a trillion dollar do?
Answer: About 100billion nets approx of nets.
Not very often do I see or hear the most disturbing news in my lifetime as a Generation XYer.
What am I talking about here? I can see the increasingly amount of cyber bullying towards our
children from grade 1 to high schoolers. A number of videos that were released from American
television stations from CNN to NBC made me feel very heart ridden. The one in particular, the
girl that passed away a year ago because someone from MySpace bullied her. There were more
videos of bullying of course that I could point out, but that would be way too depressing and sad
to point out. They do not deserve being treated that way due to the fact that they are in the most
vulnerable stage of growing up. Everyday they have to grow up faster then the last generation due
to the pressures that they face from the technologies and the bullying from their peers. I also see
the increasingly violent and cruel world of our youths that they have to face without the guidance
from adults and it makes them feel depressed and turn to ends like drugs, crimes, suicides and sex.
Every year I would go to my school reunion activities, technologies are rampantly and the use of
the computer, I guess are pretty responsible because its pretty monitored by the school. Here is
the positive use of technology as I illustrated here.
Be informed and skeptical.

Oprah in bad rep and publicity in school and in Kanye Mess
Thats enough now. Do we see her show anymore? Is her show becoming less relevant? Are her topics less of importance?
Expect of movie stars and big splash?
Oprah did a number of good shows this past year that were to note: recently these shows are both entertaining and among my favorites are with Celine Dion. Oprah also brought issues of controversial in nature like transsexuals and family that are rarely talked about in our society. There were of course the usual fare that I could remember of like: weight loss and how to make your place more nice.
Now as for Ellen, does she care about WGA? She does I think. She cares more about the audiences that she serves. She also serves a place for writers to come by and broadcast their voice if they want to. Why not? Writers are essential to the entertainment industry and your cause will be lost if you do not come to the air and voice your concern on TV like Ellen or
somewhere in public. How long you can be at the public view ie: CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX?
Are we as the audiences going to take your strike and as a causality? YouTube and MySpace are limited in imagination and monies?
Thats my two cents for now for the WGA, perhaps more later.
Lets give celebrities who does the good deeds a break and report balanced views of them. We all just like to earn our piece of pie for the night at the end and not ending up at the slammer, do we?
Is the Terminator intervening the WGA strike?
We also heard that former president Bill Clinton may be interested to resolve the WGA strike?
